Instructions for PalmScan Desktop Software Update (AP2000, A2000, P2000) If the PalmScan desktop software is already installed on your PC, then the following steps needs to be taken in this exact order. * Follow this procedure at your own risk. Micro Medical Devices, Inc. is not responsible for any data lost due to software upgrades.
1) Exit PalmScan desktop application if it
is running on your PC. You can do this by clicking on the HotSync icon in the system tray and selecting "Exit".
3) Click on the appropriate software update link on our website and save the PalmScan.exe file to your computer. 4) Copy the PalmScan.exe file that you just downloaded to the following directory on your PC C:\Program Files\Micro Medical Devices\PalmScan ***To be on the safe side, you may want to make a backup of the entire PalmScan directory before copying the file.
If you are not able to copy the PalmScan.exe file to this directory try the following. Start the Windows Task Manager and make sure HotSync Manager is not on the list of active processes. If it is, end the process and repeat the copying step. 5) Start PalmScan desktop software and make sure you have access to all your patient's info. 6) Start the HotSync Manager From the "Start" menu select "programs" then "Palm Desktop" and then select the HotSync Manager. That is it. You have now successfully updated your PalmScan desktop software. |
