The PalmScan Integrated desktop application is another way through which MMD has worked to simplify your daily activities and add efficiency to your practice. This application allows the user to manage (add, edit, delete, archive) patient records and generate automated reports that can be printed or emailed. This application even allows you to print patient waveforms such as the corneal waveform or the patient Biometry.

Every time you sync your handheld device, your patient records are backed up to a database on your PC that is accessible by the PalmScan Desktop application. Not only does this feature allows you backed up your data, but it also provides you the means to view, print, and even share data with your colleagues.

Furthermore, this application allows the members of the Cataract Surgery Community participating in the Open Source IOL Network program proposed by MMD to easily transfer data to the systems' central database. The Open Source IOL Network is a system to promote higher standards in IOL equation formulation based on a much larger database of Pre and Post Operation Cataract results.
