Installation guide for Archiving Software fix

(AP2000, A2000, P2000)

* Follow this procedure only if you have installed the PalmScan Desktop software on a Window's PC system and you have been synchronizing your handheld data to it.
* Follow this procedure at your own risk. Micro Medical Devices is not responsible for any data lost due to software upgrades.

1)    Check the version number of Software

 

Check the software version number to make sure it is the one you expect. Software version is displayed during Self-Test operation.

You can also check the software version by entering the PalmScan application on the handheld. In the software's "Main Page", click on 'Main' in the upper-left hand corner of the screen. This will show you the 'Options' Menu. Select 'About' to view the software version.

2)    Exit the HotSync Manager

Click on the HotSync icon in the status bar located on the bottom right corner of the screen and select on "Exit".

)    Delete PalmScan.Conduit.dll from either
C:\Program Files\PalmOne     or    C:\Program Files\Palm     directory.

4)    Click and download the new PalmScan.Conduit.dll file to same directory as in step 3.

5)    Archive Non-Active Patients

Open the PalmScan Desktop software and archive older patients that you do not want stored on the handheld. To archive a patient you need to select the archive checkbox next to each patient name.

6)    Restart HotSync Manager from the Start Menu

7)    Perform HotSync

That is it. You have now successfully updated your system software. Please contact us if you have any difficulties in performing these steps.
