Figure 1 - Corneal Superimposition measures corneal flap of lasik patient using Hansatome microkeratome set at 160 microns.

The ability to superimpose corneal waveforms provides a valuable new tool to the users of PalmScan devices. This new tool allows precise comparison of cornea and corneal change detection over time. Among the applications for this new technique we can list:

  • Monitoring the progress of corneal diseases over time
  • Evaluating patient's respond to medication
  • Measuring Flap Thickness in Lasik
  • Measuring corneal ablation
  • Measuring corneal stromal foreign bodies and their dept
